General FAQs

1. Keeping in mind that The Bagg Group is a full service staffing firm, how do I determine which services are appropriate for my needs?
If you're seeking a short term, (three months to one year) opportunity, temporary work is the best option for you. If you are currently not working, temporary, temp-to-perm or permanent opportunities can all be beneficial to you. Temporary opportunities will allow you to get working immediately and can be helpful if you are not quite sure what you're looking for, because you get exposure to a number of different industries. Temp-to-hire opportunities allow both you and the employer a trial period to see if the position will be a long term fit for both parties. Permanent, direct hire opportunities will put you directly into a permanent position with one of our clients.

If you are currently working, permanent opportunities are probably the best option for you. Temporary and temp-to-hire opportunities will not provide the long term security of your current position.

3. What positions do you hire for?
We hire for temporary, temp-to-hire, and direct-hire opportunities and specialize in office support positions. These positions include executive assistants, administrative assistants, reception, clerical and other general office support positions, bilingual customer service representatives, call centre positions, and light industrial. Occasionally we staff for other positions at the special requests of existing clients.

4. What is your hiring process?
The first step is for you to get us your resume. You can do so by registering over our website. We recommend that you first search through our current postings and follow the instructions to Apply Online to any positions that are a strong match with your experience and interests. You may also Sign Up Now to create an account without applying for positions. A recruiter will look over your information within two or three business days. If we have a match for you, we will call you for a phone interview. The next step is to bring photo ID and two to three business references with you into our office where we will then complete a complete behavioural interview that includes software testing. For direct-hire and temp-to-hire opportunities, the client will most likely request interviews with you within their company as well.

5. I submitted my resume, why haven't you called me?
Even though we have not called you for the particular position that you applied for, (which may be due to stronger candidates), we will keep your resume on file for other opportunities.

6. What differentiates you from other staffing firms?
Our most important core value is, "Treat others as you would wish to be treated." One of the biggest complaints heard about our industry is how poorly people (applicants) feel about working with staffing firms. One of the biggest (and most common) compliments we receive from our associates is, "You guys are different, nicer than most staffing firms." This is because we strive to treat others how we'd wish to be treated. It's not only the right way to do things, it's good business. Creating "win-win" situations for our most valuable assets—our Field Associates and candidates—is critical to our success. We will treat you like a professional, and we expect the same in return. Whether a staffing firm chooses to work with you or not, that is the least you should expect from them.

7. What can I find out about the company history of the clients you work with?
While we continue to grow to include a more diverse group, we work with a variety of clients in many different industries including: Financial and Investment Services, Consulting, Advertising, Real Estate, Educational and Non-Profit Organizations and Manufacturing. We can tell you a lot about the company's culture from the years of experience we have placing people with these organizations. In addition, we can provide websites or other online information so that you can learn more.
